Bamboo and reed mat fence installation creates privacy, wind protection and a natural boundary around gardens, balconies, terraces and pools. NSG Bamboo Center, based in Aydın, installs made-to-measure fences for homes, hotels and facilities across Turkey.

How does a fence work for privacy and wind?

Tightly woven reed mat and bamboo panels block most of the view and create a comfortable space against a neighbouring garden, a road or the pool surround. Used as a windbreak, they slow strong breezes and make a seating area more comfortable. Because denser panels carry more wind load, post spacing and fixing are planned accordingly. In our range you can look at the Premium Reed Mat Fence, Decorative Reed Panel and Bamboo Divider Panel.

How is a fence installed step by step?

First the fence line is set out, measured and the post points are marked. Posts are placed in holes and concreted; once the concrete has hardened enough, tensioning wires or horizontal rails are pulled along the line. Reed mat or panels are then fixed to these rails, straight and level. If the ground slopes, the fence is planned stepped or parallel to the slope. Each of these steps matters for the fence to stand upright and sound for a long time.

  • Garden fence: Forms a natural screen against neighbours and the road side.
  • Balcony fence: Gives privacy with light panels and softens the look.
  • Pool surround: Blocks wind, limits sight lines and makes the area sheltered.

Which areas is it suitable for?

Typical uses are garden boundaries, balcony railings, pool surrounds, terrace sections, restaurant gardens and areas inside facilities. Panels can also be used indoors as dividers. The durability of natural materials varies with climate, material quality, protection from ground moisture and upkeep. Handling the contact of the post bases with the ground correctly matters for the life of the fence.

Fence height and panel density are set according to the intended use. A fully closed panel increases privacy but raises wind load, while a spaced texture lets air through and still gives shade and discretion. In some areas there may be municipal or building management rules on fence height, and we recommend checking this before installation. At the survey, the height and texture that suit your needs are chosen together.
